The 22-year-old has suffered a stop-start Stamford Bridge career in recent seasons mainly due to his recurring back problems.The Sun reported recently that there has been a growing concern at the Blues that Loftus-Cheek could require surgery to fix the injury.But Chelsea coach Gianfranco Zola has revealed some hugely positive news on the popular ace.

Loftus-Cheek has missed four Chelsea games so far including their Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg win over Tottenham on Thursday.It was feared that he could miss the rest of the season but it appears he will make his return soon.

It was thought that he could be back in training at the start of February but Zola has confirmed he is now in contention to face Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup tomorrow.Following the win over Spurs, Zola said: “Ruben is back in training with us today, I thought it would have been longer.“Tomorrow [Sunday] we will make a decision if hes in contention but he looks good.”3
