West Ham United have failed with a 6.5million bid for former Cardiff City enforcer Gary Medel, according to reports.Besiktas have rejected the Hammers’ opening offer, but it is understood Manuel Pellegrini is desperate to sign a player who can add more steel to his midfield.2
